I want to get back to working on site rather than at home, all travel has been stopped for work for the last week and being on site is my favourite part of my job.
I finished the graduate scheme in January, so I am look at getting chartership now. I have a few milestones left to meet and I hope to still be able to meet these of the coming months.
I am also due to get married in June, uncertainty with the current situation and changing advice is making it hard to plan for then. Should we cancel or should we not? We’ve waited a year and I don’t want to wait another year.
On the work side of things, I’m hoping to become a Senior Researcher this year so I can develop my skills a bit more and gain a bit more responsibility.
In other areas of life, I hope to be able to buy my dream house at the end of the year. I’ve loved living in London but want to get on the property ladder and begin to call something of my own, “home”.
My goal was by the end of this year to perhaps move my career more towards teaching than exclusively research, however now that coronavirus has caused a public health emergency I think I might end up staying in research a little while longer…
