Yep, they’re not too far from me, so I can pop on a quick train and visit everyone 😀

Weekends mostly. I used to work at a power station not far from home which made the travel easier. But with my wedding this year there have been lots of shopping trips to find my mum an outfit! 🙂

I am extremely lucky that my parents live in the same city (Geneva, Switzerland) as my lab is located (CERN, the European center for particle physics). I get to see them once in a while, every time I go down to CERN for a conference or to help run the control room of the Large Hadron Collider.

Not particularly which isn’t that great, I move around a lot for my work and can be abroad for long stretches of time during the year, which makes it hard to arrange time to visit home. There are opportunities when I am back in the UK to do so, but because of the work load these are usually saved for special occasions like birthdays and Christmas.
