• Question: what's your favourite thing to cook and when did you get into cooking?

      I like to cook for other people (my housemate, friends…) because it gives me an excuse to cook something perhaps a bit richer than I usually would (I still try to make it reasonably healthy, but it’s almost like a cheat day).

      I don’t really follow recipes once I’ve got the hang of a technique, so I particularly like curries: they always end up different, and I can accommodate them to the preferences of my guests. Recently I’ve been exploring variations of Thai and Brazilian curries, and I think I’m onto something! but it needs more experimenting… 🙂

      The whole process is actually quite like science for me: you’re interested in something, you try it out, then you try something a bit different, it doesn’t work, you try again, you learn, and when you finally get it just right it’s so satisfying…
