Question: How does it feel working in the field of nuclear

I love it! It really is an exciting industry to work in, with no two days the same. Working at a power station there is always a new challenge to keep the reactor operational and generating electricity. We start each day with a team meeting to see how everyone is, are you fit and well to be at work and then we get a plant status update and what the focus areas of our work are to be that day.

I chose to more from a career in Chocolate and food science to nuclear because I wanted to make a difference in the world and I thought nuclear was the way to do that: it’s a green energy source, no CO2 is released when generating electricity from nuclear power so I feel like I am doing my bit for the environment.
